General Information
LAIR-1 is a glycoprotein (~32kDa) expressed on the surface of the majority of human peripheral blood mononuclear leukocytes including T cells, B cells, NK cells, macrophages and dendritic cells. LAIR-1 functions as an inhibitory receptor in NK cells, T cells and B cells. It features of a leader sequence, extracellular domain, transmembrane domain and a cytoplasmic region.

General Information
ANGPTL2, ANGPTL3, ANGPTL5 and ANGPTL7 have recently been shown to stimulate the ex vivo expansion of the hematopoietic stem cells. The same report showed that the microfibril-associated glycoprotein 4 (MFAP4), which exhibits sequence similarity to ANGPTLa, also posesses such ex vivo expansion activity [1].

General Information
Cadherins are a family of transmembrane glycoproteins that play a key role in calcium dependent cell-cell adhesion. Several members of the cadherin family have been identified so far, including E- (epithelial), P- (placental), N- (neuronal) and M- (muscle) cadherin. M-Cadherin is expressed in myoblasts and might be involved in skeletal muscle cell differentiation.
