SOURCE/HOST: Produced in HEK 293 cells. The cysteine-rich region of human CD27 (aa 1-191) is fused to the Fc portion of human IgG1.
CONCENTRATION: 1mg/ml after reconstitution.
PURITY: ≥95% (SDS-PAGE)
FORMULATION: Lyophilized. Contains PBS.
ENDOTOXIN CONTENT: <0.1EU/µg purified protein (LAL test; Bio Whittaker).
RECONSTITUTION: Reconstitute in 50µl sterile water. Further dilutions should be made with medium containing 5% fetal calf serum or a carrier protein.
SPECIFICITY: Binds human and mouse CD70 (CD27L).
APPLICATION: Can be used together with anti-human IgG1 PAb to detect membrane-bound human and mouse CD70.

LONG TERM STORAGE: -20°C
USE/STABILITY: Stable for at least 6 months after receipt when stored at -20°C.

General Information
The CD27 receptor (CD27, Tp55) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNF-R) family. CD27 is a type I transmembrane receptor, it contains 3 extracellular cysteine-rich motifs. CD27 is mainly expressed on T and B lymphocytes, and its expression is increased on T cells by the engagement of the T cell receptor complex. Engagement of CD27 induces recruitment of TNF receptor-associated factor 2 (TRAF2) and TRAF3. CD27-CD70 have been reported to be involved in several different immune mechanisms such as T, NK and B lymphocytes interactions and costimulation, early thymic differentiation, autoimmune and viral diseases and apoptosis.
