Product Specification
SPECIES CROSSREACTIVITY:
Human
MW: ~35kDa (SDS-PAGE).
SOURCE/HOST: Produced in HEK 293 cells. The extracellular domain of recombinant human CD30L (CD153) (aa 63-234) is fused at the N-terminus to a linker peptide (11 aa) and a FLAG®-tag.
CONCENTRATION: 0.1mg/ml after reconstitution.
PURITY: ≥95% (SDS-PAGE)
FORMULATION: Lyophilized. Contains PBS.
ENDOTOXIN CONTENT: <0.1EU/µg purified protein (LAL test; Bio Whittaker).
RECONSTITUTION: Reconstitute with 100µl sterile water. Further dilutions should be made with medium containing 5% fetal calf serum or a carrier protein.
SPECIFICITY: Binds to human CD30 (Ki-1).
APPLICATION: Can be used together with an enhancer (Prod. No. 804-034, see Set Prod. No. 850-066) to detect membrane-bound human CD30. rhsCD30L saturates its receptor at a concentration range of 12-4000ng/ml.
SHIPPING: SHIPPED ON BLUE ICE
LONG TERM STORAGE: -20°C
USE/STABILITY: Stable for at least 6 months after receipt when stored at -20°C.
HANDLING: Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. After reconstitution, prepare aliquots and store at -20°C.

General Information
The CD30 ligand (CD30L, CD153) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) family. CD30L is a type II, transmembrane protein expressed on T and B cells, monocytes/macrophages, neutrophils, megakaryocytes, erythroid precursors and eosinophils. After interaction with its receptor CD30, CD30L may induce TNF receptor-associated factor 1 (TRAF1), TRAF2, 3 and 5 recruitment. CD30-CD30L have been reported to be involved in costimulation of T cell proliferation, induction of HIV expression, negative selection and apoptosis as well as in diabetes and several allergic, viral and autoimmune diseases.
