RECONSTITUTION: Dilute in sterile DMEM at a concentration of 10µg/ml and store at -80°C before use. Medium with mNGF cannot be reused due to mNGF degradation.
BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY: mNGF 2.5S was bioassayed for neurotrophic activity using the rat pheochromocytoma cell PC12 cultures over a period of 7 - 14 days. The neurotrophic activity is in the range of 0.1-10ng/ml. The recommended concentration to be used in vitro for maintenance of sympathetic and sensory nerve cultures is 50ng/ml medium [1].
