Product Description
Alkaloid of the β-carboline family. Regulates PPARγ expression. Inhibits the Wnt signalling pathway in a cell-specific manner. Down-regulates inflammatory gene expression (TNF-α, IL-1β, iNOS). Reversibly inhibits monoamine oxidase inhibitor A (MAO-A), but has no effect on MAO-B.

General Information
HVEM (TR2, ATAR, HVEA) is a 36 kDa type I transmembrane protein belonging to the TNF receptor family. HVEM contains 3 cysteine-rich repeats in the extracellular portion which is typical of TNFR family members. HVEM mediates Herpes Simplex Virus-1 infection of T cells. Ligation of HVEM by its cellular trimeric ligand LIGHT (Prod. No. ALX-522-018) induces recruitment to the cytoplasmic domain of the signaling molecules TRAF2 and 5. Activation in vitro of HVEM leads to induction of nuclear factors NFκB and AP-1. The outcome of HVEM activation on T cells is still controversial. A second ligand for HVEM is soluble LTα.

General Information
IL-1F5, F6, F8 and F9 are new members of the family of IL-1 (IL-1α/β, IL-18, IL-33). IL-1F6, IL-1F8 and IL-1F9 activate the NF-κB and MAPK pathways through the IL-Rrp2 and IL-1RAcP receptor complex leading to the production of IL-6 and IL-8. Agonistic activation of the IL-1F6, F8 and F9 is counterbalanced by the inhibitory activity of IL-1F5. These interleukins are mainly expressed in skin keratinocytes and internal epithelial tissues exposed to pathogenic bacteria suggesting a role in immune signalling and inflammation. IL-F5, F6 and F9 as well as the rec
