BACKGROUND/TECHNICAL INFORMATION Immunocytochemical staining of RXRβ in MCF-7 cells overexpressing RXRβ with Prod. No. ALX-804-104 results in strong nuclear staining.
Gel super shift experiments show disruption of vitamin D receptor (VDR)/RXRβ/VDRE (DNA) complex formation when RXRβ was preincubated with Prod. No. ALX-804-104, yet experiments using THR showed a supershift of the thyroid hormone receptor (THR)/RXRβ heterodimer by this product.
