General Information
PALB2 (partner and localizer of BRCA2; FANCN) has been identified as a new BRCA2 (breast cancer type 2) binding protein. PALB2 colocalizes with BRCA2 in nuclear foci, promotes its stability in key nuclear structurs (chromatin and nuclear matrix) and enables its recombinational repair and checkpoint functions. Mutations in the gene of PALB2 may contribute to breast cancer development (as well as prostate cancer). Mutations in PALB2 also cause Fanconi anemia.
MANUFACTURER Manufactured by Apotech Corporation.
