BACKGROUND/TECHNICAL INFORMATION The rate of recombinant human caspase-8 enzymatic activity can be measured by the release of AMC from the Ac-DEVD-AMC caspase substrate as emission at 440nm upon excitation at 380nm using a spectrofluorometer (Stennicke and Salvesen 1997).
