General Information
BACKGROUND/TECHNICAL INFORMATION The exact length of the human protein is 109 aa corresponding to the NCBl data base entries AAH34921 and TNHUA. The N-terminal M is absent in the mature protein (otherwise, it would be 110). ProTα is acetylated at the N-terminal S. MALDI-MS data for the recombinant ProTα isolated from bacteria show that the protein is partially acetylated.
