Product Description

Useful negative control for the PI(3)K (phosphoinositide 3-kinase) inhibitor LY-294,002 (Prod. No. ALX-270-038). Does not inhibit PI(3)K even at concentrations ≥100µM (LY-294,002: IC₅₀=1.4µM). Sensitizes tumor cells to drug-induced apoptosis independent of its PI3K inhibitory activity.
