General Information
Resistin (also called adipose tissue-specific secretory factor [ADSF] or found in inflammatory zone 3 [FIZZ3]) is another hormone secreted by adipocytes that acts on skeletal muscle myocytes, hepatocytes and adipocytes themselves, where it is suggested to reduce insulin sensitivity leading to type 2 diabetes.
