Product Description

Mixture of 4 non-separable isomers. Inhibits TNF-α expression (IC₅₀=2.5µg/ml). Exhibits no antibacterial and antifungal activities up to 100µg/disk in the standard disk assay. Weak cytotoxic properties against tumor cells. Inhibition of the TNF-α promoter activity is caused by an inhibition of the phosphorylation of the ERK1/2 kinases. In addition, oxaspirodion inhibits the activation of the transcription factor NF-κB, which is involved in the inducible expression of many proinflammatory genes.
