Product Description
Oligomeric mixture of condensation products of N-methyl-p-methoxyphenethylamine and formaldehyde. The trimer is the most abundant oligomere in the mixture. Blocks calmodulin and human platelet phospholipase C and ADP ribosylation. Activates G-proteins in a manner similar to G-protein-coupled receptors.

Product Description
Fluoride ion (F-) induces a variety of effects thought to be initiated by stimulation of both stimulatory and inhibitory guanine nucleotide binding proteins (G-proteins) followed by effects of those G-proteins on adenylyl cyclase and other targets. The action of F- is thought to involve the species [AlF4]-, formed by reaction of F- with aluminium ions leached from glass vessels and/or otherwise present as contaminants in virtually all aqueous media and buffers used in routine biological research. Many studies report an increase in the effects of NaF, or in its potency, when it is supplemented with aluminum salts. Occasional studies report no increase in NaF effects when Al3+ is added, presumably due to an already saturating level of aluminium ions in the experimental media.
