Potent inhibitor of N- acetylaspartylglutamate (NAAG) peptidases, glutamate carboxypeptidase II (NAALADase I) (K_i=0.8nm) and glutamate carboxypeptidase III (NAALADase II) (K_i=23nm). Group II metabotropic glutamate receptor (mGluR) agonist.
